MY DEAREST ONES, WHOM I HOLD IN MY HEART,
I AM GRATEFUL THAT YOU ARE.
 
THIS THANKSGIVING WE MAY GIVE THANKS.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE THE SAME IRRESPONSIBLE AND DESTRUCTIVE MISTAKES THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT WE ARE YET REQUIRED TO BE WILLFULLY IGNORANT OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF GREED AND LAZINESS AND UNCARING HEARTLESS EXPLOITATION AND DECEIT.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT IT IS STILL POSSIBLE TO DO BETTER.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT WE HAVE TIME TO AVOID A THIRD WORLD WAR.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT WE HAVE NOT YET DESTROYED ALL POTABLE WATER.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT WE HAVE NOT YET ANNIHILATED ALL SENTIENT BEINGS.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT THERE ARE THOSE WHO HAVE RISKED, ARE RISKING EV EN NOW, AND HAVE GIVEN ALL TO ALLOW US TO HAVE THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE THE DIRECTION OF OUR FUTURE.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT WE STILL HAVE THE OPTION OF CHOOSING A BEAUTIFUL FUTURE FOR ALL OF HUMANITY AND ALL SENTIENT BEINGS.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS THAT THERE IS STILL TIME.
 
WE MAY GIVE THANKS.
 
I AM GRATEFUL.

Day of Thanksgiving

As the days and nights, in the Northern Hemisphere, grow colder and darker, please remember the elderly, the homeless,  the children,  those in distress, and the animals, both domestic and wild.
 .
I hope you had a wonderful  Day of  Thanksgiving and are warm, comfortable, peaceful and filled with gratitude for all the wonders and blessings, known and unknown.

I’ve been cooking all night.

I’m cooking still.

Cooking, cooking, cooking

and keeping up with clean-up.

When the feasters are satisfied

Another night I’ll be up

What to do with leftovers

It’s up to me to decide.

Cooking, cooking, cooking,

And keeping up with clean up.

Yes, that is what I’m doing.

Though I dread all the holidays

I am grateful for my bounty

And all the feasting feasters, anyways.
