The Usual — The Expected

.
.
I have been sacrificed on your makeshift
Alter of Indifference and Unaware
Offered my yet beating heart to the
Great Deity of Important Personal Interests
That you say feed your soul because
You need to have something important
To make it all worthwhile.
.
Accepted, my heart’s been chopped up
For nothing, or maybe plastic and
Styrofoam, food substitutes, and diesel fuel.
I am becoming nothing, worth nothing, not much left,
Just a bunch of rotting nothing.
Nothing else is so unsightly as the usual,
The expected trivia of an old woman’s pain.
.
.
Our Mother Earth, we women do understand. We have all been
accepted on the same alter.

Dance Here With Me

.
.
Impenetrable walls and fences
Are built by cold
Indifference and illusions
It is the False Faces Liars who
Cannot pass through
What is a construct of
Themselves repairing
Their own hard barrier
Guardians of their
Fear and disillusion
Working working working
Working working working
To keep me in my place
Only the inside out
Vision of delusion
Can dissolve the
Gateless self creation
No need for gates and doors
All portals lead not in
Fools keep adding
Bricks more bricks
Of heavy weary sin
.

On this side there is no wall
On this side I remember all
On this side I am free
On this side there is no here
In my untended Wild Garden
I Be
.
It is really
Not a problem
To dance here
With me

The Garden Gate

.
.
Indifference has sent me here, beyond your reach,
Dwelling in a dream seeded hopeless nowhere,
Alone, I once tended my garden of flowering despair.
.
Walls and fences have been constructed faithfully,
No unknown paths, nor secret gates allow you too near,
I’m guarded by your unrepentant, ignorant, manly fear.
.
Duty and honor, you call your determined labor,
Unaware that behind walls of your illusion I live, not happy, but free.
Now my wild garden goes unattended, no longer can you touch me.

MOUNTAIN ICE MIST

MOUNTAIN ICE MIST

What is the difference
In feigned indifference
And indifference that is real?
The feigned indifference hides
Feelings protected by the layers
Of practicing to be aloof.
True indifference feels nothing,
Is innocent of deceit,
Yet is opaque as captured light.
Indifference requires no pretense
There is nothing to protect
There is no heart, just ego and id.
The feigned and the true,
Become the same in the end
As practicing indifference leads
To no feelings hidden or unreal.

Indifference is the heart of
The cold Mountain Ice Mist.
