Wandering in
Another’s life,
Down a path
Not my own,
An aimless servant,
I bid myself adieu.
Nothing is left
To grieve.
There are no
Wailing laments,
No coyotes,
No wolves,
No pumas.
Unseen winds stir
Dust in the west,
Coloring the sunset red.
I rest on a rocky bluff,
High above a blue valley,
Watching
Lights sparkle below.
