November Sunset North Florida

.
Field behind mailboxes is occasional home to cattle.  There is electric fencing.  Some years row crops have been planted.  Now it is fallow.  Photo is facing north-west.

North Florida Woods, Early November

.
Much of the river swamp is woodlands.

I don’t have that central Hickory oriented straight up.  There is more slope, towards the St. Mary’s, than is readily apparent. The Water Oaks, that gracefully curve, tend to disconcertingly lean towards the river.

The Light Touch of October Sun

.
.
Autumn light
Gently filters
Dappled gold
And green
October leaves
.
The final soft
Caress of
Grandmothers,
Soothing ancient
Weary hearts,
Silent kindred,
A shared knowing,
Love and warmth.
.
Serenity’s touch
To glow within
Through the long
Dreary winter

October Sunlight St. Mary’s River Swamp

.
October sun is shining over the St. Mary’s River.  This is as close as I can get.
