Faust’s devil
All fools
Becoming ignorant
Fools
Fools following
Fools

“Language expresses culture.

“The best way to modify, change, or destroy culture is to modify, change, or destroy language.”

So many entire languages, and the associated culture, are already gone.

Language is now being used to manipulate culture, rather than culture creating language.

Wailing Sand

.
I hear Wind
She gives
Voice to sand
Wailing mantra
Sparking current
Friction sowing
All ancestors
Weeping in
Blowing sand
Guabancex
Singing wild
Calls Huracan
Merging
Spiral song
Guatauva
New joy
Wind sings
Her prayer
An ecstasy
Cleansing
With gratitude
The pure
Coatrischie
Self Offering
Washes tears
Prayer restored

All of these peoples have lived here:

Hitchiti, Muskogee, Oconee, and Tallaassee, which are Creek Confederation. Itza Maya left DNA and language among the Creeks. There are 74 mounds near here. The Timucua, which are Arawak, where resident in this area. Last to arrive were Tsalagi being crowded out of their slightly more northern homelands.

Laughter

.
.
As the crows
And I
Sit atop
My favorite
Thorn tree
Watching the
Light change
The shadows
Dance I
Think of you
And gossip
With my
Shimmering
Friends
They know
You better
Than I am able
To remember
They speak
To me
The language
Of laughter
When the
Wise ones
Fly east
Seeking roost
I remain alone
Among thorns
Comfortable
In forgetfulness
