Heavy, the air.
Weary, the trees
Whisper their despair.
Invading miasma
Of crawling dreams,
Drifts, dense
With unremembered songs.
Heat oppressed,
Unseen Loa cry.
Intensely sweet
Their unheard wails
Are entwined,
Tangled,
In blue mist.
Eerie soup flows,
Thick with voiceless
Voices filling
Unrequited voids,
Empty of regard.
Leaves droop,
Breathless.

So far so good. Friends and family refuse to mask consistently. Knock on wood, that the
Fates don’t notice.

Yes, dear, Bearspawprint, thank you for asking. Your words evoked sadness in me… and our world as I write does, now nearly a month since you posted here, has seen greater divisions in our society – the abyss growing wider…where there was a brief period of us coming together as we all are affected by this virus. I live in London and solidarity within the area I live in which many do not know their neighbours, we reached out and helped those less able. A kindness extended to all.
