Grandmother’s Dawn

Twining tendrils emerge from
Ancient memory gnarled roots
Calling dawn cycles from yesterday
Soft pearling light brightens
Drifting behind her attention
To the West old comfort lingers
Grandmother’s feet sink deeply
Into vernal softened earth
Gravity whispers please stay
