Can the ash
From an erupting
Volcano
Be scoured
From the
The earth and sky?
.
Can the ash
From grieving hearts
Be swept back
Into the caldera,
To be as
It was before?

The inspiration for this came from some small discussion regarding the WWII March 10, incendiary bombing of Tokyo, with two people who were youngsters in Japan, at the time.

“S——,
You and I were 12 years old and we were lucky that we lived in Nagano Prefecture. Not too far from us the Emperor’s families were evacuating in an underground shelter surrounded by high mountains that we didn’t know. The Emperor Akihito, also 12 years old, was there too.
The both countries went crazy then.

No, don’t think so. Pain remains.
