This looks like fun! I have to go out for a little while, then I plan to spin your theme selections. Also, I made a post for next week and it will be difficult. 😉 Viva Eva!

Yes, I thought it would be very difficult. We haven’t had a difficult theme in a while. 🙂

This one can be a free for all. Dedications? It would be nice if Eva would join in.

I am in Dixie. My Grandmother’s Sister was named Dixie. It is Grandmother who called me The Cow’s Tail, because i was always last. My Great-Grandfather (one Great) fought in the Civil War (Dixie’s Daddy) Hmph.
Burning The Candle At Both Ends refers to not sleeping. Up too late, up too early.
Life In The Fast Lane is work work work and more work and getting ready for work and going back to work some more. 🙂

I had to google Sector 42. All sorts of interesting sector 42 things. There are several actual geographical Sector 42 places and gaming references, so I still don’t know what you said. New fangled referencing language. How are MATURE people supposed to know what anyone is saying? Is YOUR “Sector 42” like your grandmother’s “Back 40”?

There are MATURE people here? Where?! Tell them to run!!!
Oh. In sector 42 the people are a bit snippy, but they have good beer. It’s a great place to go when you’re in a good mood. If your in a bad mood they lock you in the sky jail until you change your mind. They have no patience. 🙂

Do they send the good beer to the Sky Jail? Is there music?
LikeLiked by 2 people
There is music, but not in the sky jail. Really, you just have to go when you’re in a good mood like I said. It’s like being in the club nonstop and you can’t wear a hood. It’s like a Mexican party!!! Last time I went they wouldn’t let me leave for a week.

Dunno, but it looks like I am the cows tail again, myself. I haven’t visited Maddie’s blog for two days, and I go there and find she has a music theme up. Grandmother is still right. I am sorry.

Sorry for what? Being the cow’s tail? You are amazing. It’s a very busy this time of year. I know. I would hold up the whole train for you. Life would be no fun without you. ❤ ❤ ❤ NO FUN!

Scouts are able detect subtle changes and can read sign .. and hopefully know if it is safe to drink the water. Scouts also know not to sleep under pine trees or in gullies.
I am glad you are fierce. This world needs some beautiful glorious kind fierceness!! ❤ ❤ ❤

BTW … the Rear Guard is never a cows tail.
———–
Speaking of tails:
In your Southern family, did the eating time vernacular ever include the term “Deacon Nose” ??? Hmm. Maybe not. It is sort of old fashioned … and very disrespectful. 😉
LikeLiked by 1 person
No. I never have heard that term, but the story sounds interesting.
BTW. That’s why I told you that about rear guard. 😉
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, I belatedly caught the guard reference. And remembered you are the fierce Rear Guard.
Often chickens used to be baked whole, like turkeys, and everyone had a favorite part. No one ever wanted to claim the Deacon’s Nose, though. That is the fatty tail.

Looks like i am the cow’s tail last week, i even missed this lovely chit chat party! Life in the fast lane really slowed me down when it came to social media schmoozing. It really is great to catch up & share u’r vibes. 🙂

Nah. You were up with a wonderful post and I didn’t even know it. Net connection woes. Various reasons … bothersome … but not fatal. Other stuff, though I do not work in the fast lane 🙂 the slow lane takes a long time. Even when doing worthwhile and/or interesting work,I used to sometimes count seconds passing and translate that into dollars per second and run through living expenses for self and dependents and things we wanted to have or do or needed in order to force myself to stay there and not try to escape. With tedious projects or tasks, or if I thought should be done differently it was even more difficult. Many days I treated obligations like zen exercises. 🙂 Helped. You are such a present and anchored in now person that perhaps it is not a problem for you. “twasn’t a visible problem for me, either. The struggle was inside myself … not the biggies like war, death, cosmos, but little minute by eternal minute. Sort of like not getting something besides water to drink after teeth are brushed and the lights are off. 🙂 cup of tea with honey cup of tea with honey cup of tea with honey 🙂
Schmoozing. 😀 😀

something to be said about the beauty and magic of life residing in the details. the japanese tea ceremony is a nice metaphor for appreciating the moment.
a cup of tea with honey is not JUST a cuppa tea with honey… miracles dissolved in the mundane. Mmmm.
