When the Sun
Rises in the West,
All Trees shall
Uproot themselves,
And pivot
One hundred and
Eighty degrees.

At this time
People will learn
That trees have
A back and a front.

People will learn
That trees
Understand people.
Trees understand
Patience and time.
.
Trees understand
Directions,
And gravity,
And altitude,
And nutrition,
And conservation,
And chemistry,
And the wondrous
Mystery of Water.
.
When the Trees
Turn their backs
On What Was,
Facing full front
What will be;
At that time,
Cruel enchantments
Shall be broken,
And captive Dryade
Shall all be set free.
