Dragon fly! Dragon fly!
Through my eyes to the soul so old,
From where?
Dragon fly! Dragon fly!
Spirit so young, filled with dreams and hopes…
Never grow old!
Dragon fly! Dragon fly!
Broken Wings chained until the end
Beauty that will die

2 MIN. 22SEC.

Am I misguided if the DRAGONS that I slay are not the same DRAGONS that you want to be slayed?  Who is misguided? Must we slay our own personal DRAGONS, ourselves? Does the blood of DRAGONS have healing powers? If you slay your own DRAGONS, does that process provide healing? Can we help each other with the slaying of DRAGONS, or must we do it all alone. Must we give up if no one else understands which DRAGONS need to be slayed in order for healing to take place? Is accepting help part of healing? Is it the healing that is actually the reason for us all? Is it possible to live lives of love and service, even without being healed ourselves?

This theme wouldn’t be complete without Puff. Yes, I believe we can live a life of love and service and never be healed. Although serving others is very therapeutic.

Interesting discussion, I hear many holistic/ new age healers seek to educate/ practice alternative healing on “others” to enlighten one’s own wound. Addressing our own shadow side is best done deconstructing all the stories we/ society tells us, or conditioned us to believe. Perhaps it is easier to share the burden with kindred spirits, healing together. I find sitting in meditation with others form strong spiritual bonds, there’s an unspoken understanding.
I enjoyed the songs! How long have you lived in Japan? Are you fluent and literate in Japanese?

        • In order that I don’t misunderstand what you are saying I’ve broken my reply into items. Most of us have slightly different subjective ideas about the meanings of the phrases you used.
          1. Are Holistic and “New Age” learned and practiced the same, from your point of view?

          2. Is to “educate/practice” on “others” experimenting? or using accomplished techniques?

          3. Who or what are “others”?

          4. What is the “shadow side”, from your point of view?

          5. Whether believed, or not, aren’t the agreed upon stories necessary for communication and social interaction?

          6. Share which burden?

          7. Sitting: ❤ ❤

          8. Glad you enjoyed the clips. 🙂 Have you chosen the next theme? If you Like, it is your turn 🙂 You always make me think/work 練習

          9. In Japan 1980-1981 We flew the coop when my boys were 8, 5, and 3 months old.

          10. No I am not fluent or literate. I remember a few polite phrases, gestures, behaviors, and attitudes and a few special interest related behaviors and phrases. I did learn to sight read directions on signs, schedules, product packages, machines,… but I was not actually reading. It was more like a particular configuration of squiggles represented my destination or the name of the street I wanted and all other squiggles were something else.

Language with women have never been a problem (knock on wood) for me, as all women have much more in common, no matter where we are, than we have different. Women's issues are the same all over the world, with slightly different emphasis, depending on social/economic status and location.

The most difficult adjustment problem was footwear in winter. No shoes in the whole country would fit me. 😀 😀 I just do not have Japanese Correctly Shaped feet. 😀 😀

          • All are topics in your own reply. However everyone has a different subjective point of view and use of language. the same words mean different things inside different people. For the sake of communication we agree for words to have certain meanings when shared with others, but most folk assume that what they have said is interpreted as intended, but often it is not. I have found that assumptions about someone else’s ideas and experience are often mistaken. For example, the most common miss-assumptions have to do with spirit, religion, responsibility, freedom, honor. We all think we know what those are. None the less, they are all different for all seven+ billion of us. I was asking for clarification of your comment.

Thank you for all that you have done. ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE sounds good. 🙂

          • I am going to post the ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE blog post early. I would have put it up, already, but I’m cooking, and will be tomorrow + company, etc., and most likely cooking all night tomorrow and Friday too …. left overs are not to be wasted. I am grateful to be able to have enough bounty to be able to feast. Thank you (and your parents) for all that you have done. ❤ ❤ ❤

Hi Bear, Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your loved ones. My grandparents plan on doing traditional cooking, but are open to “raw” experimentations. I’m making a raw gourmet vegan dessert. We’re not big eaters, but like to nosh throughout the holidays. If u’r feeling adventurous, this recipe is really delicious:
