Brahms’ Lullaby — sung by Chloe Agnew
2min. 34sec.

Innocent children are like stars radiating sparkling warmth and spiritual beauty. How can anyone not be HAPPY in their company? Unless the child is unhappy, then there is a type of selfless joy in doing what can be done for the child’s best interests.

So how is it that the HAPPINESS of children is so easily amplified? A wonder and a mystery for which I am grateful.

God Danced the Day You Were Born — Andrew Lawrence — sung by Hot Soup
2min. 42sec.

My Little Sister sends me a link to this video every year on my birthday, since it was first placed on You Tube. Not only is it a nice remembrance, it makes me HAPPY to listen to this because I know that my sister can sing equally well, a cappella, and she prefers HAPPY, upbeat music for herself, and to share. She has had more than her portion of heartache and tragedy, yet she is of such a strong good heart, that she is always trying to raise the spirits of those close to her.

THUNDERSTRUCK — 2 Cellos
4min. 58sec.

If I am feeling sad or misunderstood or blue, this video cheers me up right away. The concluding applause has not yet failed to evoke a big grin, and at the minimum, from myself, a silent chuckle. Sometimes I laugh out loud.

Δαιμονία Νύμφη Μουσών
3min.  38sec.

The Muses are a source of HAPPINESS by facilitating Voice. Whether perceived and understood, or not, the acts of expression and creation are acts of joy.
In the video clip there is pictured a lovely UNICORN, for Lisa.
.
Please be fore warned, the last two selections are NOT sweetness and light, nor are they My Little Pony.

We each have our own understanding of the relationship between HAPPINESS and Lovers.

Requiem — Mozart
1hr 17min. 12sec.

What did Mozart have to transcend to write this? What did this orchestra have to transcend to perform? What had to be overcome for the venue with the beautiful pipe-organ, to even exist? I am taken to a place outside of HAPPINESS, outside of myself, outside of death, by this performance.

FIRE — OST Angels and Deamons — Hans Zimmer
6min.  52sec.

Sometimes the closest I am able to come to HAPPINESS is to say nothing, and so allow those close to me to retain their own HAPPINESS by not becoming aware that I am present and that I am also not present.
.
I REMAIN SILENT
.
I am present.
I am also not present.
I am an observer
Of myself.
I am a guardian
Of my grief.
I am a
Silent voice,
To preserve
The Wa.
My heart is
Somewhere else.
I only pass through
This pleasant
Landscape
As a guide.
I must move gently
Through your HAPPYNESS,
As the voice
Of my silence
Travels on
To somewhere else,
Another life,
Another time.

THE HEART OF THE UNICORN — Gamma Ray
4min. 47 sec.

When I mentioned to my youngest son, as we were discussing amusing things, that the music theme this week is WHERE THE UNICORNS ARE, he said he knew of a UNICORN song, and would send me a link. He did so, and included this sentence “When life gives you marshmallow unicorns, give life speed metal.”
