NASA/NOAA EARTH OBSERVATORY
On April 29, 2014, the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) satellite observed the heavy rain that inundated the southeastern and eastern United States and produced floods near Pensacola, Florida. The National Weather Service reported record-setting rainfall of more than 380 mm (15 inches) in Pensacola.
THERE WERE OVER 2 FEET OF RAINFALL IN ONE 24 HOUR PERIOD. MORE RAIN FELL THAN HAS EVER BEEN RECORDED IN THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE.

  1. Hi Bear and Lisa./ Johnny.
Yep, I think you did cite May 22 somewhere along the way, Bear. But I just went with the Next Thursday notion and posted accordingly. No biggie. Lisa and Johnny can post at will and then I’ll add their links.

Good to see that the pingback worked from my post to yours. My internet connection is playing hide and seek everything with me–sooooo I’m not quite sure what’s doing what where exactly. LOL.

Oh I’ve selected Night for the ‘next’ musical theme. Which, if we keep to alternating Thursday would be May 22. LIsa and Johnny –and anyone else inclined to do so— can take their pick or combine them or get creative whichever way amuses them most. 🙂 One could easily do Rainy Nights for sure. Or not.

It’s all good. The numbers just got in the way. It’ll work out. 🙂

I hope you’re not resorting to floating in large inner-tubes just yet to keep on top of the rain.

    • Sorry I can’t count past three hands full. 😦 I think I yusta could. In tha olden days, when I wus yung(er), pre-dyscalculia and before I looked at Google calendars, that work like weather calendars 😦 All previous time ceases to exist as it passes.

      Not floating, yet. 🙂
