There was an Eight-Legged Visitor in my kitchen Monday morning. I captured him (or her?) from the floor and transported the big fellow outside. Here are some photos which don’t really show how big this arachnid is. In it’s arched running posture it is 2 1/2 inches across, the body and head are at least 1 inch long. If he were to be flattened he would be over 3 inches across. The green measuring cup hold 2 1/2 cups. Pretty big. There were storms before and after the spider took refuge inside. And I took the poor critter back out. Dunno if he/she (?) survived the heavy rains … and the birds.

Oh btw, I learned something today about music on the sidebar widgets. At least for my blog–the devil is in using a “text” widget and the “embed” code –not the “share” code from the tubes of you. At least it worked for one trial attempt. Perhaps now I’ll get my gears in full action. Or maybe I should be on the lookout for 8 legs and fangs?

Oh my, I don’t think I’ve ever came across such a big one. It looks interesting though. That is, of course, inside my computer screen, while I’m under the blanket. Were I to be in your place, I don’t think I would have been around long enough to take the pictures!

I captured it and took it outside, but before releasing it, I went back in and got my camera, then let it go, and too the pictures. Outside. 🙂 I couldn’t just let it stay in the kitchen …lurking. …..
