Indifference has sent me here, beyond your reach,
Dwelling in a dream seeded hopeless nowhere,
Alone, I once tended my garden of flowering despair.
.
Walls and fences have been constructed faithfully,
No unknown paths, nor secret gates allow you too near,
I’m guarded by your unrepentant, ignorant, manly fear.
.
Duty and honor, you call your determined labor,
Unaware that behind walls of your illusion I live, not happy, but free.
Now my wild garden goes unattended, no longer can you touch me.

I like your “dream seeded hopeless nowhere,” I will have to think about what kind of plants a dream might seed. I like the idea.

I cherish the freedom. Great poem. And the bear theme has taken me back to an interesting time in my life–I only have a couple “bear” and “wolf” poems I salvaged.

If I can find them, I’ll post–thank you for your interest. They’re not “stellar”–just from therapy sessions with a very wise and centered woman.

PS I just edited the poem. I had omitted a word. Oops.
