wow bear I think you covered it all. All of it. I never apologize unless I am sorry. I used to apologize and say I’m sorry in my normal conversation. Which I always hated because it negated everything I really meant to say. Isn’t it odd how apologies are. Alex’s dad when I met him never apologized for one single thing and I think I’d rather be someone that new how to apologize then one that never did it and always thought they were right! I’m still waiting for his apology. I don’t it’s ever coming though! 🙂

I think so much has happened that an apology he feels is to little to offer. But isn’t it a great start? I think an apology doesn’t come with excuses. His always do just once I’m love to hear I’m so sorry for hurting you! But it’s ok I’ve learned to live without them! 🙂 Hugs bear!

This is good, Bear. I was talking with a friend the other day and we decided to take “sorry” out of our vocabulary completely. I think a more meaningful response is to ask for forgiveness. That is what matters in any situation that would normally have one of these non-apologies attached.

Forgiveness is often given without repentance on the behalf of the transgressor. Unequivocal clear apology with obvious understanding and statement of what is being apologized with effort to mitigate and reduce and/or compensate for effect are necessary to reduce both personal rin and karmic carry over.

Asking for forgiveness without being heartily sorry and expressing true apology is merely asking for the transgressed to do all of the work and make it all OK. Non-apologies should never be attached to anything.

Hmmm. As long as everyone is clear on what or who is the “ass hole”. Not everyone defines such terms the same way. There are those who would take your excclamation as a suggestion … Yikes!! When hurt angry feelings are being expressed one has to be extra careful NOT to escalate the danger in an actual confrontation.

I do try to be sincere but sometimes it is hard, especially when I was still working some of the customers who came in to complain where horrid. ( I worked on a welcome desk, Customer Service.
I hate it when my husband says sorry means nothing it is easy to say. He of course he was right lactions speak louder than words. Xxx 😉
