These photos are close to the St. Mary’s River, on the East bank, Florida side. The river flows North here and is a little high, though it has receded quite a bit in the last few days.
Bear … 02.18.2014
- Woods uphill to the east
- Parallel to the river, heading SE
- Facing WSW
- Still too early for gamboosia
- Due to high water the color is diluted …
- This is a walking path when the river is lower. Facing West, towards the river.
- WNW
- Uphill East
There is smoke in the air from farmers and their Spring brush burns.
Bear … 02.18.2014
- glare through smoke
- smoke to the west
- seeds
- shimmering light even with smokey haze
- From this side the web was all sparkles
Here, close to the river it is darker so that plants bloom a little later than only a mile or so away. Still there is new growth and green and a few buds. Even here in the shadows the sun filters through bringing the new growth.
Bear … 02.18.2014
- white azalea bud
- magenta azalea bud
- tiny blooms
- first dandelions, but not at my house
- spring green
- spring green palmettoes
- new growth
- delicious berries soon
