.
Bright winter light is dim
.
Small tasks become hard work
.
And memories paid in effort grim
.
Dare long for the heat of sweaty July
.
That turgid lethargy thick movement
.
Blessed cooling rain a wish
.
Then too wish now winter’s test
.
Endure and endure
.
To survive is to be yet blest
.
Too bold or hopeless plan
.
Think of Spring and growth
.
All winter tending care
.
Spring’s fragile yearning germ
.
Remember heavy September indigo
.
And golden October sky
.
When this ancient no color cold
.
Was only anticipated Winter Rest

Hello Bear.
Good to learn that you’re NOT stuck in a swamp.
Am very relieved.
Intact minds—that’s a lot these days.

Why thank you so very much. I am away from the computer. This one is borrowed for an hour. My elderly parents, 90, 87, and aunt 83, had a crises. So I am on a mountain near Huntsville,
Alabama indefinitely. Elderly bodies have lots of troubles, but even though the bodies are quite demanding there are lots of good stories to go with…..

Sorry to hear your elders are ailing. I’ll be 87 next month, and it seems as if there is always something troubling one part of my body or the other. But,. we keep on moving!

Ahh, but the stories and memories and even all of the new ideas are so interesting. And Dad catches” my word jokes!!! 🙂 🙂 All of the minds are intact, here. Well, except for my own. 🙂
You have the good attitude that I am blessed to be interacting with in my parents home. And I do love to hear about places and situations and times that do not and cannot ever exist again, while I continue to collect experiences and memories of my own.
But, oh, I get so sad when things become difficult and painful for such vibrant accomplished and skillful and wise people (like you) Just when there is finally time to to enjoy, physical ailments intervene. Bear

I have photographs taken from the airplane window … 🙂

I am using a borrowed computer for an hour or so. Folks can certainly accumulate a lot of memories, ideas, habits, quirks, ailments ……. and good stories in 90 years!! Busy busy busy. Thank you for this. I will be able to return to the computer world … someday. I am experiencing cyber withdrawal!! Snail mail on the way. Thank you for all that you have done. Bear

I love the image for the music on your sidebar for The Moon and the Nightspirit!!!! It’s full of excellent details when put to full screen”: torcs, snake with horns, face etc….oh yes, very appealing to me. “Like” the music too.
Good poem—sweaty July indeed. A nice moderate season would be most welcome.
