  3. O Cohen–The Future–I’ve listened to this particular version way too many times and yet it never seems to get old. “….no one left to torture…” What a SONG!
“..I’ve seen the future . it is murder..”
    “…order of the soul..”
yeah….dark, scary, creepy, yet sensual and compelling …

Ahhh fresh links. Merci, Bear. I will edit them into my post.

      • But it does not have to be so.
        There is choice.
        Otherwise there is no hope.

        • There is choice about our response to the history that will always be. There is choice about the creation of new history.

          “New history” hahahaha

          • New History indeed, Bear.
People who ‘write’ history manipulate the information to suit their own agendas.
Case in point, Wounded Knee 1890–the newspapers of the time prior to the massacre spout false news stories about confrontations that never happened. And the military records support that fact. Yet, the bored newsman waiting for something to happen sent filed fake news stories. I suspect it’s one of the reasons Miles had the telegraph lines cut in Chadron, NE–to try to stop the flow of misleading information. So yes, NEW history can indeed be written. The books are full of the narratives of certain perspectives.
Well enough of heavy things this New Year Day.

Sting’s Fragile is very moving. I’m thinking I might use it for my BS soundtrack at some point.

Oh–now I’m not sure who is supposed to pick the next theme–is it Johnny or moi according to your reckoning? Who ought to follow Deborah? Johnny’s last pick was Classical, I think. LOL. I better wake up some more.

Lorena’s Prologue to Cohen’s The Future—you know, Bear, this is very very DARK arranging on your part. Or did you intend something else? I’m not complaining–just wondering if I’m listening correctly to your intentions.

You———- We got rearranged a little

Yes, my arrangement was rather dark. Melodic, but dark. You certainly can see a lot from so far away. Happy New Year!! Gloomy, rainy, 40s and up into the 50s today. Woo Hoo!! The little Tea Olive flowers love it, and so do the Camellias.

          • Thank you for the rotation list, Bear. A little rearranging is okay. I will post my choice late tonight or tomorrow. I think I’ll give everyone more than three days in order for all to catch their breath–and to maybe take time to post other things they may have on their back burners. We’re off the Wednesday/Sunday path at the moment. Hmm. Something to consider too.

Seeing and making an effort to pay attention too. 🙂

            Glad the flowers are happy.

The digits here are dropping dramatically again.
