November is gray and gloomy.
A changeable wind pushes the smaller cars
Drunkenly about the high way.
No need to shade one’s eyes from
The Golden October light. It’s gone.
A glowering darkness falls bringing
Cold damp.
There is a chill in the morning fog.
But stepping outside my backdoor…
That divine scent!!!
Blown hither and thither …
Tasting the fog … Ahhh
Is that apricots?
The Tea Olive is blooming.

Ditto me all of what everyone else has said so far.
Hmm reminds me of some late night walks past a neighbor’s yard there all sorts of different flowers bloom at different times. On a damp foggy night–well, you clearly know just how I ‘feel’ then.
O, Bear, we’ve had a little chat over at Willow’s place about Emotions–posting perhaps Friday thru Sunday to allow more time. AND either adding a fourth day to postings considering several things for everyone’s benefit—or perhaps posting on certain days like Wed and Sunday. I’m open and the extra day between posts is mine. Which is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of thng. But it does reflect my wish for a little more time between theme posts. Would like to get YOUR input very much once you’ve run it around your braincase a bit.
I’m going to drop the same lines over at Johnny’s blogcasa too.
Oh, I like the papa poem too.

I am sitting this go-round out. It is one of the options we all have….okey dokey 🙂 I think it is your choice next. Is Tuesday the 12th good? I’ll be posting again, soon, and checking in now and again. XXOO

No idea what a Tea Olive looks like, but that description of autumn is brilliant.

Tea Olive is an evergreen (here) tall shrub or small tree with tiny, tiny little white flowers almost hidden beneath the dark green leaves that have a most delicious aroma similar to apricots, only stronger and sweeter. The damp holds the scent longer.
