BREAK ON THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE —- DOORS 1967

You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side, yeah

We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side

        • I agree with you. Her VOICE!!! That is why I hunted it up to be first.——- Is your hair black? ——– My first husband, of that era, had black hair. Took me twenty years to come to my senses. 🙂

My hair is light brown, she wouldn’t have liked me. Come to your senses?

          • … and get a divorce….. Joan’s husband of that time had light brown hair. She divorced him while he was in prison for defying the draft. The song was fantasy. She sang a lot of Old English folk and ballads. I love that Voice. She still sings, but not with so much poignancy. Or maybe I just haven’t heard the right songs. Dunno.

Oh, I see. 20 years… My mom used to listen to her when I was little. She liked the Carpenters too. I really like folk music, I suppose as a result of exposure.
